Bigger Easter chocolate eggs, chocolate bunnies and chicks are put in the traditional Easter basket which can be a table centerpiece after „finding” it, independently the fact that some chocolates are already tasted. Smaller chocolate eggs, dragées, candies can be purchased in less decorative bags which can’t be re-closed after opening. These can be decorations also with some creative ideas.
Choose an Easter patterned fabric. Sew a small sack from a simple rectangular piece which mouth can be narrowed with a sewn ribbon. Just like a gym bag. If there is only a plain fabric, for example a bunny can be drawn on it with a marker or textile paint. The candies should be refilled to it from the plastic bag. It will be easier to handle, and the candy content is an additional surprise.
A threaded glass jar is perfect for this purpose. Paint it with a color suitable to the occasion and cover its lid with fabric. It can be decorated with a cotton wool bunny tail glued to it and card board ears glued on the lid.
Let’s make funnels from thicker orange papers – just simply roll them. The longer part on the top should be folded back as a lid. This part should be pinned and strings made of green crepe paper or yarn can be crossed out the hole and knotted. Glue the lid after filling it. A whole carrot-basket can be made of them in which a chocolate bunny can sit.
A simple brown, folded paper bag could be cut in the middle of the opening side to get a curved V-shape. Knot it just under the cut with a nice ribbon after filling it. Glue a cotton wool tail on one side of it. The bunny-shaped sack is ready.
Draw eyes with a marker on a disposable white plastic cup. Two circlets made of fabric could be glued under them and a pink cotton wool glued between the circlets. Whiskers should be drawn with a marker as the addition to the bunny head. Ears made of card board or felt could be fixed to the edge of the cup. After filling it with sweets, close it with a fitting jar lid, upside down.

Ordered shed
Spring is here soon, it’s the opening season of garden jobs. Starting and keeping the time schedule is much easier if all the needed tools are ordered in their place. The required space for this is defined by the size of the house and the garden, such as the number of persons living there.
The most practical solution is a separate shed with enough space for smaller jobs if it would be rainy. Put a table in it which is tall enough to work comfortable on it standing nearby (plant transplantation, labeling, cuttings etc.). Probably less closed storages are needed, the open shelving is more practical usage of space. Hang hand tools (clippers, scissors, small shovel etc.) to hooks, this way they air better after accurate cleaning and they will be close at hand. Let’s row cords, ropes and thin wires to a kitchen paper towel holder for easier handling. Make custom storage without doors for the bigger machines like lawn mower and garden grill where they can be easily pushed in and pulled out when needed. This way the space above them is free to use because they don’t balk us to reach that wall. Put the bigger tools also on hooks fixed to the wall for the ordered sight and not to bump into them. Choose a shed with window if it is possible but proper lighting has to be ensured anyhow.
If there is no possibility for a separate shed, create the place of garden tools in the garage. Broom, rake, spade etc. can be hung on the side wall. If the building is wide and tall enough, closed cabinets can be built in above head height where pots and other accessories can be stored. Nothing will accidently fall to the car standing there, thanks to the doors.
If there is enough space only in the basement or in the attic for storing garden tools, we can still follow the ideas before, it will be just more tiresome to take down and put up the needed things. Cozy working corners can be also created here with proper lighting. If there is a greenhouse, „workstation” can be organized in one of its corners too. If we have no any other chance, put a cupboard inside the house, near the backdoor leading to the garden, with doors below and open shelves above, this way the most necessary tolls will be at hand going to the garden.
An interior designer can help in creating a functional and decorative place related to the garden also.

Easter basket
We prepare for Easter again. Easter eggs deserve a proper „nest” which fits for classic style. But instead of the simple hand-basket, let’s seek for a unique one which could be the ornament of the decoration.
For example, antique fruit bowls made of copper/silver are perfect for this purpose. If real grass is put in it, line it with a thick paper before. It is tubby enough for the eggs sitting in.
The glass punch bowl – depends on the size – is also a good choice. If it is made of cut or lead glass, it gives additional shine as part of the decoration.
Porcelain cake stand is an elegant solution. Commonly it has only a thin edge, so rolling of the eggs has to be prevented. If no (faux)grass is put under them, they should be surrounded with flower heads for example, but Easter eggs can be piled even in the middle of a round cake.
Using a bigger buckled jar is a good solution for rustic or vintage style. Just fill it as you like. Small color bucket, wooden bowl or flower pot (even painted) fit for this surrounding also.
If there is only a hand-basket at home, it can be made unique also. Paint the basket in gold or silver color, decorate it with a fitting silk bow and color the eggs with glittering paint also. It’s a more natural solution to cover the whole basket with moss which has the effect as if the eggs were hidden outdoor.
Many other objects found at home could be transformed to an egg-nest. Ask for help of an interior designer to plan the center decoration piece fitting for classic style.
