The so called gingerbread houses were built during the Gothic Revival style in America. Their characteristic is the wooden, elaborately detailed, carved border that runs through the lining of the roof and the top of the balconies and patios.
Don’t just think of the brick as the practical, but not too aesthetic building block. Houses built of the old and decorative bricks unfortunately are disappearing, although they provide diverse and timelessly classic look for our home.
